SHARON OSBOURNE ‘IN GOOD SPIRITS’ FOLLOWING CHEMOTHERAPY

Ozzy's wife begins a three-month spell of cancer treatment...

SHARON OSBOURNE is in “very good spirits” following her first session of chemotherapy earlier this week.

The rock matriarch underwent her first session of the treatment on Monday (July 29), the first step of a three-month course in her battle with cancer. An Osbournes spokesperson told USA Today that she was “very upbeat.” Sharon’s fight with the disease will be chronicled on MTV on the second series of ‘The Osbournes’, the fly-on-the-wall docu-soap.

It had been thought her cancer was confined to her colon, but following an operation on July 3, when surgeons removed a foot of her colon, the disease was found to have spread.

Ozzy Osbourne has withdrawn from a number of appearances on his annual Ozzfest summer trek across the US to be at his wife’s side during the tough treatment. His final show was in Atlanta on Sunday (July 28). He is not expected to return until at least August 22 in Denver. System Of A Down have stepped up to take the Main Stage slot.
