OZZY OSBOURNE’S TOUR MANAGER FOUND DEAD

Ozzy Osbourne‘s tour manager was found dead in his hotel room yesterday (July 24), after fighting a long battle with throat cancer.

Bobby Thomson, 50, was found at around 4.30 p.m. in his bed at the Townshend Hotel in Birmingham, Michigan and is believed to have died in his sleep. He was in the area for Ozzfest, which was held yesterday and is due on today (July 25) at the DTE Energy Music Theatre.

“We are devastated by the loss of our dear friend Bobby,” Ozzy Osbournesaid in a statement. “He has been part of our family for 23 years and loved very much. He will be greatly missed by all of us. Our sincerest sympathies go out to the Thomson family.”

According to the Detroit Free Press, the Oakland County Medical Examiner’s Office said after an initial examination: “there was no sign of foul play afoot”. An autopsy will be performed today.

During Ozzy Osbourne‘s performance last night in Detroit, the singer dedicated ‘Goodbye To Romance’ to Thomson, as well as an encore performance of ‘Mama I’m Coming Home’.

Thomson, born in Wallyford, Scotland, is survived by his wife, Terri, and two sons Kevin, 19, and Jacob, 10.
