OZZY STARTS LONG ROAD TO RECOVERY

But wife Sharon says the star's injuries haven't stopped him from asking two nurses to marry him...

Ozzy Osbourne may take six months to fully recover from his quad bike crash according to his wife SHARON – although it hasn’t stopped the rocker from asking two nurses to marry him.

The former Black Sabbath singer is still in the intensive care unit of Slough’s Wexham Park Hospital, though is making progress since he was taken off the ventilator yesterday (December 15).

Sharon Osbourne said: “He’s awake and he’s causing havoc. He’s busy telling jokes all the time, he’s already asked two nurses to marry him.”

Although she said that it would be “probably about six months” before Ozzy Osbourne is back to his old self, Sharon told ITV: “But he will be back, he’s not going anywhere. He’ll be ordering everybody around, don’t worry.”

As previously reported on NME.COM, Ozzy Osbourne broke eight ribs, his collarbone and cracked a vertebra in his neck when he crashed his quad-bike on his Buckinghamshire estate on Monday (December 8). He was taken to the nearby Wexham Park Hospital where he had emergency surgery to correct the collarbone and fix damaged blood vessels.

Since Ozzy Osbourne has been in hospital, he has hit the Number One spot in the UK singles chart (December 14).

‘Changes’, the duet he has recorded with daughter Kelly, went straight to the top and pushed Will Young to Number Two.

Sharon said: “He has never had a Number One and for me it just goes to show how people love him … He couldn’t speak but tears were coming out.”
