Paul McCartney ‘falls offstage’ at gig in Liverpool

It’s unusual for him to be clumsy,’ says source of Macca’s tumble

Paul McCartney ended his homecoming show in Liverpool by falling off the stage, according to reports.

The singer, who recently announced he would be releasing a new album featuring covers of his favourite songs on February 6 next year, reportedly took a tumble down the stairs when leaving the stage at the Liverpool Echo Arena yesterday evening (December 20).

According to The Sun, a source reported:

He’s not accident-prone so it’s unusual for him to be clumsy. He saw the funny side.

Earlier this week, Paul McCartney posted the first single from his forthcoming and as-yet-untitled LP online. The track, which is a new composition called ‘My Valentine’, is a collaboration with Eric Clapton. You can hear the song by scrolling to the bottom of the page and clicking.

The singer released his last solo studio album, ‘Memory Almost Full’, in 2007. He also teamed up with Killing Joke’s Youth to release the 2008 LP ‘Electric Arguments’ under the moniker of The Fireman.
