Paul Weller and Miles Kane joined forces at last night’s NME Awards for a version of ‘You’re Gonna Get It’, a track written by the pair for Kane’s forthcoming second solo album

Prior to getting up onstage, Paul Weller was spotted chatting with both Johnny Marr and Ronnie Wood having handed out the prize for Best New Band to Palma Violets earlier in the evening.

Kane has previously described ‘You’re Gonna Get It’ as “a great song”, adding: “It does exactly what it says on the tin. We did about four songs together and we’re gonna record one more… It’s a slowie and we’re gonna try and do that as a live thing in [London’s] Sarm Studios.”

Miles Kane and Paul Weller were among a host of bands and artists performing at the NME Awards last night (February 27), with Foals, The Cribs, Biffy Clyro, Ronnie Wood and Johnny Marr also playing live.
