Paul Weller praises Bombay Bicycle Club and Kasabian – video

Modfather speaks at Shockwaves NME Awards

Paul Weller praised Bombay Bicycle Club and Kasabian before picking up the Godlike Genius prize at the Shockwaves NME Awards on Wednesday (February 24).

The former Jam and Style Council man bigged up the bands in a video interview, which you can watch on the right.

“I like the Bombay [Bicycle] Club,” he said. “I’ve only heard their album but I thought it was good. I like the Kasabian boys too.”

Bombay Bicycle Club won the Best New Band award at the London ceremony.

Kasabian performed live with Noel Fielding and picked up the Best Album award for ‘West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum’.
