Those at the Raleigh, North Carolina rally yesterday (November 3) was treated to a special guest

Pharrell introduced Bernie Sanders on stage at a Hillary Clinton rally in North Carolina yesterday (November 3).

The ‘Happy’ musician has endorsed the Democratic candidate in the race for the White House, which concludes with the US election on Tuesday (November 8). Pharrell first backed Clinton in October 2015, declaring “it’s Hillary time.”

In the run-up to the decisive day, Pharrell made a speaking appearance last night at the Clinton rally in the NC city of Raleigh. Pitchfork reports that the 43-year-old made his way onto the stage alongside Clinton and her former rival Sanders to the sound of his 2013 international superhit ‘Happy’.

Taking to the podium, Pharrell spoke about why he was supporting Clinton’s bid for the Presidency.

“I’m here because I believe she’s here to fight for us. Don’t you?” he asked the crowd. “It makes me angry when people say she can’t lead our country because she’s a woman. How dare anyone question a woman’s ability? Every person on this planet was brought into this world by a woman.”

Pharrell is currently working on Justin Timberlake’s new album. Timberlake has called Pharrell, who is co-producing the LP, a “sound junkie.”

Pharrell, meanwhile, said of working with Timberlake: “Songwise, I think we’ve got a good solid six that are like, ‘Whoa, what was that? Play that again.’ I would pay Justin a huge compliment to say he’s just discovering who he is now.”
