The singer and producer performed a song on the much-loved US children’s show together with Elmo and Cookie Monster.

In the short cameo, Williams sits on a stoop reading a book together with Elmo, before burst out into a song about the merits of reading.

Earlier this year, Justin Timberlake revealed that he has been working with Williams on new music.

The two have collaborated on on 2002’s ‘Like I Love You’ and ‘Senorita’, as well as 2014’s ‘Brand New’.

Williams has previously hinted that he is planning to record a country album with Justin Timberlake.

The hip-hop producer said he was considering heading into the studio with the singer, in an interview with TMZ, following Timberlake’s performance of ‘Drink You Away’ with country singer Chris Stapleton at the CMA Awards.

“It’s (‘Drink You Away’) is now starting to be one of the biggest songs,” he told the showbiz website before he suggested that the pair could record a country album. “Now that you put it out there, why not?,” he added.

“We are country. He’s from Tennessee, I’m from Virginia. It’s only right that we try to tap into what we was raised in.”
