Pharrell seeks help from fans in finishing world’s first ‘social book’

Producer and singer is working on a project titled 'Inspiration'

Pharrell Williams has asked fans around the world to help him finish his new book, Inspiration.

The book has no release date but will be made available after fans have helped fill in the gaps via this website. Fans who guess the missing words correctly will receive a credit in the final book when it is published. Four pages were unlocked via the interactive website yesterday (April 24) with more to come.

As well as English, speakers of French, German, Spanish and Italian can also get involved in the project. Proceeds from the sale of Inspiration will go towards From One Hand to AnOTHER, a nonprofit charity founded by Pharrell that seeks to help at-risk youths in American communities.

Meanwhile, Pharrell was recently named alongside Beyoncé and Miley Cyrus on Time magazine’s ‘Most Influential’ list. The trio were the only musicians who featured with Justin Timberlake penning a heartfelt tribute to producer and singer as part of his inclusion.

Elsewhere in the list there are places for Russian President Vladimir Putin, director Steve McQueen, actor Matthew McConaughey, Edward Snowden, Barack Obama, Angela Merkel and US economist Janet Yellen. Kanye West was on the shortlist for the 100 names included in the issue but failed to make the final cut.
