The new track is an original from forthcoming movie 'Alice Through The Looking Glass'

Pink has launched a new track entitled ‘Just Like Fire’, taken from the soundtrack to ‘Alice Through The Looking Glass,’ and revealed complete with a movie-themed video.

The new single – written specifically for the movie, which comes out on May 27 – is only the singer’s second solo release since 2013, following on from non-album single ‘Today’s The Day’, released in 2015.

Pink also recorded a second track for the film, a cover of ‘White Rabbit’ by Jefferson Airplane. It’s been three and a half years since she released her last album, 2012’s ‘The Truth About Love’, but Pink has since been recording with Dallas Green of City and Colour, under the name ‘You And Me’.

The pair had a UK number ten (and US number four) album in ‘Rose Ave’ in 2014.

Meanwhile, a judge passed down his own ‘verdict’ on Pink’s music last year, ruling that taking a child to one of her concerts isn’t bad parenting.

New Jersey Superior Court Judge Lawrence R. Jones wrote that a mother “in no way, shape or form exceeded the boundaries of reasonable parental judgment” by attending the Pink concert at Newark’s Prudential Centre, Yahoo reports. He also stated that: “[The mother’s] decision did not subject the child to any unreasonable risk of harm, or compromise [her] health, safety or welfare.”

“To the contrary, when all the smoke from the [related] custody litigation clears, it will be self-evident that all which happened here is that a young girl went to her first rock concert with her mother and had a really great time.”
