Pink hits back at Twitter haters over her body weight

Singer posts a series of messages explaining why she is 'perfectly fine'

Pink has hit back at Twitter haters after they criticised the singer’s weight.

She posted a long message on the social networking site claiming she is “perfectly fine” and her body is having “some much deserved time off” after she received online abuse.

Pink wrote:

The singer also tweeted out pictures alongside husband Carey Hart and daughter Willow, saying they loved the way she looks.

Pink is set to be awarded by the BMI (Broadcast Music Inc.) for her songwriting work next month.

She has written a number of her own hits, including ‘Just Like A Pill’ and ‘God Is A DJ’. She follows the likes of Adam Levine, Taylor Swift, Willie Nelson and Pitbull in receiving the BMI President’s Award For Songwriting.

“Pink is an extraordinary songwriter whose mastery of craft and passionate artistry has transformed a generation of Pop and Rock music culture around the world,” said BMI Vice President Barbara Cane.

“She has captivated music lovers with her unforgettable, emotional and edgy magnificence of song, voice and performance.”

The award will be presented to Pink at the 63rd annual BMI Pop Awards, taking place at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles on May 12.

Pink released her latest album ‘The Truth About Love’ in 2012, it was her sixth studio effort. She released a collaborative album under the name You + Me with City and Colour‘s Dallas Green entitled ‘rose ave.’ in 2014.
