Pink and Avril Lavigne defend Kesha in defamation lawsuit

Kesha is being sued by producer Dr. Luke

Pink and Avril Lavigne have submitted statements defending Kesha in her defamation lawsuit with Dr. Luke.

Kesha is being sued by the producer, who believes her claims he sexually assaulted her have lost him work and money.

According to documents obtained by The Blast, both Pink and Lavigne have filed sworn affidavits stating that their decisions to stop working with Dr. Luke were not influenced by Kesha. The website shared images of documents reportedly signed by both stars, with Pink’s under her real name, Alecia Moore.

The statements read: “The reason I have not worked with Dr. Luke since 2006 has nothing to do with Kesha Sebert, her words, or her actions.” You can see both statements here.

Last month, Dr. Luke denied an accusation by Kesha that he raped Katy Perry – a claim which Kesha relayed in a text message to Lady Gaga in 2016, according to court documents.

Kesha first claimed Dr. Luke had abused her in 2014. He has always denied the allegations, with his lawyer calling them “scurrilous and false statements” in a response issued after they were first made public.

Meanwhile, Kesha has announced a festival cruise called Kesha’s Weird & Wonderful Rainbow Ride. The four-day event will feature two performances from the pop star alongside appearances from Queer Eye‘s Jonathan Van Ness, Betty Who, Big Freedia, Superfruit, Wrabel, and stars from RuPaul’s Drag Race.
