We need your help in compiling the definitive Top 20 tunes by the comeback band of the year...
Pixies are causing a storm on their reunion tour – and to celebrate their return to the UK, we want to know what your favourite song is.
After a storming performance at Coachella last weekend, the band play four sold-out shows at London Brixton Academy from June 2-5, their first UK dates for 13 years. Tickets sold out in about 30 seconds. The band then return for the summer festivals – look out for them at V, Move and T In The Park.
So what song would you most want to hear? Earlier classics like ‘Caribou’ or ‘Bone Machine’? The poppier signature tunes like ‘Debaser’ or ‘Here Comes Your Man’? Or the late period UFO and surf stuff like ‘Planet Of Sound’ or ‘Velouria’? Tell us which one is the best, and why, and we’ll print the definitive Top 20 in NME and NME.COM very soon.
Send your entries – with the subject Pixies – to [url=]firstname.lastname@example.org ASAP.
Remember you can hear your favourite Pixies songs at ‘Death To The Pixies’, a special club night to celebrate the band’s return, on Saturday May 29, 9pm-3am at Sahara Nights in London (two minutes from King’s Cross station).
Guest DJs from NME and 4AD will be playing Pixies classics and other stuff they love, and there will be special giveaways on the night! Entry is just £4.
