Joey Santiago discusses his score for the movie 'Crime And Punishment In Suburbia'...

JOEY SANTIAGO, guitarist with legendary US rock band The PIXIES, is to appear as part of the LONDON FILM FESTIVAL.

Santiago composed the score for one of the festival’s featured films ‘Crime & Punishment In Suburbia’. He will discuss the music in film at the panel event ‘Music To Make Films By’. Joining Santiago will be the film’s director Rob Schmidt and music supervisor Liza Richardson. The session will be hosted by journalist Miranda Sawyer.

The soundtrack to the film features tracks from Santiago’s former Pixies colleague Frank Black, along with Sleater Kinney, Guided By Voices and Modest Mouse.

‘Crime & Punishment In Suburbia’ was produced by Christine Vachon, who was also responsible for ‘Velvet Goldmine’and ‘Boys Don’t Cry’.

The event takes place this Saturday (November 4) at London’s ICA. Tickets cost £7.20.
