Placebo album to get re-release in the US

Newly issued ‘Meds’ has three new tracks

Placebo’s fifth studio album ‘Meds’ is set for a re-release in the US, and it features three extra tracks not present on last year’s original release.

‘Lazarus’, ‘UNEEDMEMORETHANINEEDU’ and a cover of the Kate Bush classic ‘Running Up That Hill’ have all been added to the album, which also features a duet with Michael Stipe and an appearance by Alison Mosshart of The Kills.

Currently in tour in Europe, the trio have recently enjoyed a spate of success, being referenced as a key influence on the current influx of emo bands, from Panic! At The Disco to My Chemical Romance.

Following last year’s co-headlining tour with She Wants Revenge, during which Placebo headlined all but three shows due to public demand, the band are set to return to the US this spring for their own tour.

‘Meds’ is re-released in the US on January 23.
