PLACEBO JOIN GLAM CROCK

Limited edition EP reworks Placebo album title track...

PLACEBO‘s new EP ‘Without You I’m Nothing’, released on August 9, finds Brian Molko teaming up with David Bowie again, this time for a reworking of the title track from the band’s current album.

The EP is a limited edition (20,000 copies) CD with a link to the Placebo website, which apparently makes the single ineligible for chart inclusion under the current rules.

Placebo played at Bowie‘s 50th birthday gig in New York and joined him onstage at this year’s Brit Awards show, playing T-Rex‘s ’20th Century Boy’, a song Placebo performed on the soundtrack of Velvet Goldmine.

Placebo play twice this weekend at the Big Day Out with Metallica on Saturday and at T In The Park on Sunday. Their next UK appearances are at V99 at Hylands Park, Chelmsford (August 21) and Weston Park, Staffordshire (22). They will then go off to support Garbage in South Africa.

Tickets will be available from nme.com‘s 24-hour ticketline on 0870 121 0125 or click here to go to our online gig guide and ticket service.
