Plan B brings ‘…Strickland Banks’ to the final day of Isle Of Wight 2011

Ben Drew warms the crowd up for Beady Eye

Plan B brought his mega-hit album ‘The Defamation Of Strickland Banks’ to the Isle Of Wight Festival today (June 12), playing a slot on the Main Stage.

He performed before The Script, Beady Eye and headliners Kasabian, playing fan favourites ‘Prayin” and ‘Writing’s On The Wall’ in front of an increasingly-damp crowd, who had put up with relentless rainfall all day.

The singer, real name Ben Drew, helped cheer up the bedraggled audience by asking them “who smokes weed?” and playing a cover of Paolo Nutini‘s ‘Coming Up Easy’ and his usual festival dubstep mix of ‘My Girl’, ‘Stand By Me’ and ‘Like A Rose’. He ended the track with a version of Dr Dre‘s ‘Forgot About Dre’.

Earlier in the day Jeff Beck [pictured right], Two Door Cinema Club and Pixie Lott played on the Main Stage as the fans watched in the stormy weather.

Plan B played:

‘Writing’s On The Wall’
‘Love Goes Down’
‘Coming Up Easy’
‘She Said’
‘My Girl’/’Stand By Me’/’Like A Rose’/’Forget About B’
‘Stay Too Long’
