Benefit concert will be shown on BBC One this September

Plan B, Robbie Williams and Alexandra Burke are among the first acts to be confirmed for a gig in aid of the Help For Heroes charity on September 12.

The show, which is to be held at London‘s Twickenham Stadium, will also be shown on BBC1. It is expected to be attended by up to 60,000 fans, servicemen and women. 150 personnel who have been injured in combat will be invited to the show for free, reports BBC News.

As well as musicians, comedians including Jack Dee, Michael McIntyre and Jason Manford are also taking part, alongside Bruce Forsyth.

Bryn Parry, head of the Help For Heroes charity, said: “Our boys and girls, both those operating in the remote patrol bases and those recovering from life-changing injuries, will hear this concert and know that they are in the forefront of our minds. They are not forgotten, wherever they are.”

Members of the public will be able to buy tickets for the gig when they go on general sale at 9am (BST) tomorrow (August 4). See Heroesconcert.com for more information.
