Portishead bash super-producer

Mark Ronson makes 'supermarket muzak', says Geoff Barrow

Portishead‘s Geoff Barrow has bashed super-producer Mark Ronson, who has worked with the likes of Lily Allen, Amy Winehouse and Kasabian.

In a posting on Portishead‘s MySpace page, Barrow wrote: “First off Mark fukin Ronson. I think it takes amazing talent to turn decent songs into shit funky supermarket muzak.

“I also heard he’s remixing Dylan…some music industry tit thinks it needs remixing. You would think he would have the respect to say no to the job, obviously not. What’s the bets on Bob Marley and Nirvana next!!”

Barrow went on to say that Portishead plan to mix their new album in approximately one week’s time.
