SHANE HELPS OUT SCREAM AGAIN

The Pogues legend helped out with 'Loaded' in Glasgow - this time he gets to grips with 'Movin' On Up'...

PRIMAL SCREAM were joined onstage by POGUES legend Shane MacGowan on Saturday night (January 24) during their gig at LONDON’s ELEPHANT & CASTLE CORONET.

The singer was greeted by huge cheers as he emerged from the side of the stage to add his vocals to ‘Movin’ On Up’.

Shane MacGowan had also joined Bobby Gillespie and co. earlier in the week at their Glasgow Academy (January 17) show to perform ‘Loaded’ and ‘Born To Lose’.

According to one fan at the Coronet: “I’d heard that [a][/a] had come onstage up in Scotland, but it was a real surprise when he walked on tonight! I couldn’t really hear what he was singing exactly but the whole song sounded great.”

The gig at the London Coronet marked the end of the band’s UK tour during a weekend which also saw Gillespie take over a whole radio station (January 24-25) to curate his own virtual festival.

Digital station BBC 6Music let the singer select his favourite rock classics from the BBC archives and appear on shows to play his choice of sessions and live recordings for the ‘fantasy music festival’.
