Prince reveals new song ‘Ain’t Gonna Miss U When U’re Gone’

Six minute long song features singer/songwriter Ledisi

Prince has premiered his latest new track ‘Ain’t Gonna Miss U When U’re Gone’.

The song, which you can hear via Prince’s official website, sees the singer working alongside singer/songwriter Ledisi. The six minute long song is the latest new song to come from Prince following the release of ‘FIXURLIFEUP’ in May.

Prince has released a slew of new music online in recent months via his 3rdeyegirl website. In December 2012 he released the track ‘Rock And Roll Love Affair’ and followed it up with ‘Screwdriver’ and another new song, ‘Breakfast Can Wait’, in February. Earlier this year, Prince and 3rdEyeGirl embarked on a theatre tour of North America, with gigs in Vancouver, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Las Vegas, San Diego, Anaheim and Denver. They played two shows a night at most venues.

Meanwhile, Prince will also feature on Janelle Monáe’s forthcoming new album ‘The Electric Lady’.

The Purple One has collaborated with Monáe on her new LP, although details on the title or nature of the track the pair have recorded together have not yet been made public. Monáe, however, did say: “We are great friends, and he is a mentor to us, to me. It’s a beautiful thing to have a friend – someone who cares about your career, and wants to see you go far and to push boundaries and shake up the world – give whatever they possibly can to the cause.”

Other guests confirmed for ‘The Electric Lady’ include Miguel and Erykah Badu.
