Prince settles Dublin gig legal action

Incident relates to cancelled 2008 Croke Park gig

Prince has settled legal action brought against him by promoters of his cancelled Croke Park, Dublin gig from 2008.

Promoter MCD took action against the singer and his US agents William Morris Endeavor Entertainment, suing them for 1.7m euros – however, details of the out-of-court settlement regarding the 55,000 capacity concert have not been made public.

Dublin‘s High Court heard that MCD and Tony Goldring of William Morris had exchanged several emails about the concert, but that Prince had not confirmed the gig himself, reports BBC News.

MCD was informed that the gig, due to take place on June 16, was not going ahead on June 8.
