Professor Green postpones UK tour dates to finish new album

All dates have been rescheduled to May 2014

Professor Green has postponed his UK tour in order to finish his new studio album.

The rapper, who recently married Made In Chelsea reality TV star Millie Mackintosh, blamed a recent accident he had involving two cars on setting his schedule back to the extent that he has had to postpone the live dates. The ‘Read All About It’ rapper was picking up a hire car to travel to play at a student ball when he was accidentally sandwiched between a ML63 and an SLS AMG.

Issuing a statement about the gigs, Professor Green says: “Firstly, I can’t apologise enough for postponing the tour, I’m as excited to see you all as I hope you are me! Everything was on schedule and then I was unfortunate enough to end up sandwiched between two cars leaving my health and album/touring schedule in absolute jeopardy.

He added: “I want to make the best possible album I can for you all and I want you to have heard the new music so as we can all enjoy the shows how they’re meant to be enjoyed. I could have rushed an album for the sake of making the tour but as I hope you all know I’m in this for the music and am not willing to let it suffer due to a date in the diary.”

Professor Green’s rescheduled tour dates are as follows:

Glasgow O2 Academy (May 9)
Newcastle O2 Academy (10)
Liverpool O2 Academy (11)
Carlisle Sands Centre (13)
Derby Assembly Rooms (14)
Manchester O2 Apollo (16)

Leeds O2 Academy (18)
Norwich The Nick Rayns LCR, UEA (20)
Folkestone Leas Cliff Hall (21)
