Hear Pusha T diss Drake in new song ‘HGTV’

Rapper also defends Desiigner from criticism

Pusha T appears to diss Drake in his new track ‘HGTV’.

The song, produced by Mike Will Made-It, comes with a Yung Jake-directed video. Watch below.

In the track, Pusha T raps: “It’s too far gone when the realest ain’t real / I walk amongst the clouds so your ceilings ain’t real / These n***as Call of Duty cause their killings ain’t real / With a questionable pen so the feelin’ ain’t real”.

The lyrics allude to ghostwriting claims directed at Drake, referencing the Toronto rapper’s mixtape ‘So Far Gone’ and 2013 album ‘Nothing Was The Same’. The artwork of the latter saw Drake depicted “amongst the clouds”. Pusha also makes reference to Lil Wayne‘s ‘No Ceilings’ in the lines.

Pusha T and Drake’s beef dates back to 2012 when Pusha released a song called ‘Exodus 23:1’, which saw him appear to diss Drake over one of Drake’s own beats. Drake later alluded to Pusha in concert, rapping: “If you was doing 16s when I was 16 and your shit still flopped and you switched teams, don’t talk to me my n**ga”.

‘HGTV’ also sees Pusha T defend his Good Music signing Desiigner from criticism of plagiarism. Many have pointed out Desiigner’s similarities to Future, but Pusha argues: “The same rappers talkin’ next year will be Uber drivers”.
