Band will play seven dates with Lambert early next year
Queen are set to tour the UK with Adam Lambert in January 2015 as part of a wider European tour.
The band will team up with US vocalist Lambert for seven British arena tour dates, starting at the Newcastle Arena on January 13 and ending in Nottingham on January 24. Dates in Glasgow, London, Manchester, Leeds and Birmingham will take place inbetween.
The tour then takes in France, Germany, Netherlands, Austria, Belgium, Italy, Denmark, and Czech Republic. Adam Lambert and Queen last toured the UK in 2013. Tickets are on sale Friday (October 3).
Speaking about the tour, Brian May says: “We have a very interesting set design. It’s big and daring. We’re going to do it to the max.” says drummer Roger Taylor. “Each time we’ve worked with Adam with our music, he’s just the most incredible frontman. He’s sensational. He has this amazing range, ’cause Freddie had a great range. Adam can really cover it.”
Meanwhile, Queen will release new album ‘Queen Forever’ in November. The album features three previously unreleased tracks with Freddie Mercury on vocals, including a collaboration with Michael Jackson.
Queen and Adam Lambert will play:
Newcastle Metro Radio Arena (January 13)
Glasgow Hydro (14)
London O2 Arena (17)
Leeds First Direct Arena (20)
Manchester Phones 4 U Arena (21)
Birmingham NIA (23)
Nottingham Capital FM Arena (24)
