Frontman currently ahead of Axl Rose and Michael Jackson - and there's still time to cast your vote on NME.COM
Queen‘s Freddie Mercury is currently (June 4) leading NME‘s poll to crown the Greatest Singer Of All Time.
Muse‘s Matt Bellamy (pictured right) is the only artist in the current Top 10 to have emerged over the past 25 years, while Aretha Franklin is the only female singer in the Top 10. Half of the artists in the current Top 20 are dead.
Voters score each act out of ten to determine the winner – Mercury currently scores an average of 8.8 compared to Rose‘s 7.33 and Jackson‘s 7.21.
NME has already received around four million votes – stay tuned to NME.COM for the final result later this month.
