The rapper has put his own spin on the stadium rockers' classic

N-Dubz mainman Dappy has once again collaborated with Brian May, with the pair teaming up to cover Queen‘s ‘We Will Rock You’. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click to hear the track.

The pair performed the cover during a session for BBC Radio 1‘s Live Lounge along with a live version of ‘Rockstar’, the track they have previously recorded together.

During the cover version, Dappy pays his own unique tribute to Queen singer Freddie Mercury, rapping “By now you have heard of me, because I’m too sick for surgery. My name’s been ringing bells from down under to Mercury. Not saying that I’m Freddie, may my brother rest in peace. Tell her Majesty the Queen that Brian’s staying here with me”.

Queen will headline this summer’s Sonisphere festival with Lambert, topping a bill that includes Kiss, Faith No More, Evanescence, Incubus, The Darkness, Mastodon and Refused.

The band will be fronted by American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert for the set, who May has said he is sure would get Freddie Mercury‘s seal of approval.

Sonisphere takes place at Knebworth Park on July 6-8. See for more information about the event. Queen headline the festival’s second night (July 7).
