Queens Of The Stone Age share stage with former bassist Nick Oliveri for first time in 10 years

Oliveri sings lead vocals on 'You Think I Ain’t Worth A Dollar, But I Feel Like A Millionaire' at Portland show

Queens of the Stone Age reunited with former bassist Nick Oliveri on stage for the first time in 10 years on Tuesday (April 15).

Oliveri, who previously worked with Homme in the band Kyuss, left Queens Of The Stone Age in 2004 but provided backing vocals on the band’s latest studio album ‘…Like Clockwork’ on the track ‘If I Had A Tail’.

Earlier this week, they reunited once more, with Oliveri joining the band onstage to sing lead vocals on ‘You Think I Ain’t Worth A Dollar, But I Feel Like A Millionaire’ during their gig at Portland’s Keller Auditorium – the first time they have performed together in over a decade. Queens Of The Stone Age will share the headline slot at this years’ Reading and Leeds with Paramore. The two US acts will play this years’ bash, which take place on August’s bank holiday weekend.

Speaking to NME, QOTSA keyboard player/guitarist Dean Fertita said: “I think everybody’s competitive to a degree. It’s good competition. To have another band you can watch that inspires you to play even better just to try and one-up them is a good thing! It’s great for the audience and great for everybody.”
