Radiohead’s Los Angeles Haiti benefit gig raises £355,000

Thom Yorke and co played gig at short notice

Radiohead’s recent Los Angeles show raised $572,754 (£355,000) for the victims of the recent Haiti earthquake, it has been revealed.

Thom Yorke and co played a show at the Music Box Theatre At The Fonda on Sunday (January 24). They had auctioned off tickets to raise money, with the total sum reported by the Los Angeles Times.

The band took a break from recording their new album to play the gig.

Meanwhile, it has been revealed that they are set to cover Peter Gabriel’s song ‘Wallflower’ for Gabriel’s ‘song swap’ project.
