'They're afraid to think out of their political fuzzy cloud,' he says
Radiohead‘s Thom Yorke has blasted the UK government over plans to build new power stations.
Blogging on the band’s Deadairspace.com site, Yorke wrote that the government is “confused” over its stance on nuclear power.
“Under the confused assumption that we can carry on consuming power as we do now into the future, and too afraid to think out of their own isolated political fuzzy cloud, the British government is committing to build a new round of nuclear power stations for which we don’t have the money,” Yorke wrote.
He added: “Great. Just perfect. Well done fellas. You’ve really thought about this haven’t you?”
He also stated that that he feels the CBI (Confederation of British Industry) is pressurising the government on the issue.
Yesterday (November 9) Energy And Climate Change Secretary Ed Miliband announced plans to build 10 new nuclear power stations, with the first scheduled to be completed by 2018, reports The Daily Telegraph.
