Radiohead’s Thom Yorke contributes to classical project

The singer helps out an old colleague with a remix

Radiohead‘s Thom Yorke has contributed a remix to a new classical music project.

The frontman has submitted his offering to John Mathias and Nick Ryans‘ remix album ‘Cortical Songs’, set to be released in May.

Yorke joins The Verve‘s Nick McCabe and Simon Jones, John Maclean of The Aliens and The Good, The Bad & The Queen‘s Simon Tong, who each remix tracks on the classical album.

Yorke‘s bandmate Jonny Greenwood was reportedly scheduled to contribute to the project, but was forced to withdraw due to time issues.

Ateaseweb also revealed that John Mathias performed viola and violin on Radiohead‘s 1995 album ‘The Bends’.
