Band joins Roisin Murphy, Afrika Bambaataa and Action Bronson at Iceland's Secret Solstice
Radiohead will headline Iceland’s Secret Solstice festival this summer.
Running between Jun 17-19 and situated in the heart of Iceland’s capital city, Reykjavik, Secret Solstice celebrates its third anniversary in 2016. Previous headliners of the festival have included Massive Attack, Disclosure and Banks.
Radiohead are the first headliner confirmed for 2016 joining fellow new additions Roisin Murphy, stateside rapper Action Bronson and founding father of hip-hop, Afrika Bambaataa on the line-up. Deftones, Skream, Goldie and Of Monsters and Men have already been confirmed to appear.
Secret Solstice is the latest in a string of confirmed European appearances for Radiohead, who have also announced a headline slot at Primavera Sound, Spain and appearances at NOS Alive Portugal and OpenAir St Gallen Festival in Switzerland.
The band recently confirmed a number of headline slots across North America this summer, including Chicago’s Lollapalooza, San Francisco’s Outside Lands and Montreal’s Osheaga Music Festival.
The tour dates are the latest news for what’s set to be a busy 2016 for the band, amid news that a new LP will be released this year , their first since 2011’s ‘King of Limbs’.
