Rammstein named as third and final Download 2016 headliner

German metal band join Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden on festival line-up

Rammstein have been named as the third and final headliners of next year’s Download Festival.

The German metal band, famed for their elaborate pyrotechnics, join Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden on festival line-up and will play on the Friday night of the festival. Download 2016 takes place on June 10-12, 2016 at the spiritual home of rock in Donington Park, Leicestershire.

Ozzy Osbourne‘s band will headline Saturday night (June 11) while Iron Maiden were revealed as Sunday night (June 12) headliners earlier this week.

Download festival promoter, Andy Copping says: “I cannot wait for this year- three of the biggest names in rock are heading to Donington. Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath have legacies to rival Download Festival and its rich rock heritage, it’s a match made in rock heaven.

“The mighty Iron Maiden back after another yet another Number One album, the legendary Black Sabbath on their final tour and Rammstein who blow me away every time I see them – their headlining set at Download 2016 will make rock history.”

Download 2015 was headlined by Muse, Kiss and Slipknot with Faith No More, Judas Priest, Motley Crue and Marilyn Manson also on the line-up.

Tickets for Download go on sale on Friday, October 23, with prices ranging from £75 (for a single day ticket) to £205 (for five nights camping).
