Razorlight-headlined event pushed back until autumn

Shakedown festival, which was due to take place in Brighton in July, has been moved to September.

The event was originally set for July 9 in the city’s Stanmer Park, but will now happen on September 17. A revised line-up will be announced on Wednesday (May 11).

The festival had originally announced Razorlight as headliner, with DJ sets from Mark Ronson and 2manydjs also booked. According to Efestivals.com, Shakedown has been moved in order for organisers to implement more safety measures for crowd members.

Matt Priest, director of Shakedown said of the postponement: “We would like to sincerely apologise to anyone disappointed by this, but would like to assure everyone affected that it will lead to a far safer event. We are now working with our current line-up of artists to reschedule them to our new date of September 17. We will make a full line-up announcement on May 11.”

All tickets remain valid for the rescheduled date, but those who would prefer a refund can claim one from their point of purchase from next Wednesday (May 11). See Shakedown.co.uk for more information.
