Kate Nash fruity reception at Carling Weekend: Leeds Festival

'Foundations' singer plays 'lemon' fresh set

Kate Nash was warmly received as she made her debut today (August 24) at the Carling Weekend: Leeds Festival.

Fans were spilling out of the Carling Tent just to catch a glimpse of the singer who looked overwhelmed by the size of the audience, some of whom were carrying flags dedicated to Nash, as she took to the stage.

The 20-year-old, who was sporting a red dress, played a host of tracks from her debut Number One album ‘Made Of Bricks’ including hit single ‘Foundations’.

During the track, when the singer sang the lyric: “You Said I Must Eat So Many Lemons” a member of the crowd unleashed a bag of the fruit onstage.

Nash then ended her half-hour set with crowd favourite ‘Merry Happy’.

Kate Nash played:

‘Birds’

‘Skeleton Song’

‘Mouthwash’

‘Foundations’

‘Merry Happy’
