No disturbances are reported on final night
The final night of Carling Weekend: Leeds Festival passed off without incident, according to police.
While in previous years, Sunday nights at the event have witnessed trouble and last year rioting, the West Yorkshire force received no reports of disturbances.
A police spokesman told NME.COM the six days of camping at the festival resulted in only eight arrests, mostly for theft and drug-related offences.
There were 145 reported crimes at the festival, most of which were again theft-related.
As previously reported on NME.COM, this year’s festival saw a heavy presence from the ‘Love Not Riots’ campaign, with many revellers wearing the organisation’s badges all weekend.
This year’s event also saw organisers laying on more late night entertainment for fans in attempt to head off trouble.
