Regina Spektor announces tribute show for late cellist Daniel Cho

Singer-songwriter will be joined by a host of guests in Brooklyn on Monday (September 27)

Regina Spektor is set to perform a special benefit gig for her former cello player Daniel Cho, who drowned over the summer.

The singer will honour the late cellist at Brooklyn‘s Music Hall Of Williamsburg in New York on Monday (September 27), with all proceeds going to his family.

Spektor will be joined by Jenny Owen Youngs and Cho‘s old rock band, Cooper, for the gig.

The cello player drowned in Lake Geneva in Switzerland on July 6, a day before he due was to play with Spektor at the Montreux Jazz Festival.

Cho also worked with Katy Perry and Coldplay and was a correspondent for ESPN Soccernet, where he covered South Korea’s national team.
