REM TO PLAY LONDON ‘CLUB’ SHOWS

The US rockers precede their Glastonbury appearance with shows at Brixton Academy...

REM have announced four extra dates on their forthcoming tour of Europe, including two ‘club’ shows at LONDON BRIXTON ACADEMY.

The band will play the 4,500 capacity venue on June 24 and 25, just days before they return to the Glastonbury festival for a headline slot on June 27.

Pete Yorn provides support on June 24, with Mull Historical Society opening for the US rockers the following night.

Tickets for the London shows go on sale on Saturday (May 3) after an initial allocation is offered to fan club members. NME.COM has also discovered there are also a limited amount for sale on the band’s official website [url=]remhq.com now.

The band have also announced shows in Holland on June 21 at Tivoli Utrecht and June 22 at the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam.
