P>Live material REM premiered at the ROCK IN RIO FESTIVAL last weekend is already available for download on the Internet.

At the show last Saturday (January 13), the band played two new songs, ‘She Just Wants To Be’, and the more rocky ‘The Lifting’.

Now, both songs have been posted online by the unofficial REM website, www.napster.com.

As reported earlier on NME.COM, the band played their show at the City Of Rock on Saturday evening (January 13), in front of an estimated 190,000 people.

the band opened with ‘Finest Worksong’, and other tracks in the set included ‘What’s The Frequency, Kenneth?’, ‘Fall on Me’, ‘The Great Beyond’, ‘The Wake-Up Bomb’, ‘Daysleeper’, ‘So. Central Rain’, ‘At My Most Beautiful’, ‘The One I Love’, ‘Find The River’, ‘Losing My Religion’, ‘Walk Unafraid’, ‘Man On The Moon’, ‘Everybody Hurts’, ‘Pop Song 89’ and ‘It’s the End of the World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)’ .

Elsewhere, the official REM website, [url=]www.remhq.com, has been redesigned to coincide with the launch of new album ‘Reveal’, and now features a photo gallery of the band rehearsing for their Rock In Rio show.
