Michael Stipe to exhibit bronze art in New York

Exhibition will launch at clothing store on June 26

Michael Stipe‘s latest art project is set to be exhibited in New York from June 26.

The R.E.M frontman has created a collection of objects ‘immortalised’ in bronze, including a Polaroid camera, a clock radio and a cassette tape.

The collection will be exhibited at the new Rogan store at 330 Bowery, close to the former CBGB space now occupied by fashion brand John Varvatos, reports nymag.com.

Rogan is the clothing line owned by Rogan Gregory, whose close ties with rock’n’roll have seen him create Edun, a line of clothing with Bono‘s wife Ali Hewson.

The items will not be available for sale, but Rogan has designed a shirt and a T-shirt that will commemorate the collection, and these will be on sale at the store.
