Jon McClure's band say they 'jumped at the chance' to brew their own ale

Reverend And The Makers have launched their own brand of beer.

Jon McClure and co have signed up for two brands of ale the first of which was recently launched at The Stag’s Head in Sheffield. Entitled ‘Reverend & The Makers Summer Ale’, the bottled beer is brewed by Bakewell-based Thornbridge Brewery. Another version of the bottled beer will also be released in the winter.

Guitarist Ed Cosens told the Sheffield paper The Star: “I’ve known the guys from Thornbridge for a few years now and last year they came to me and said: ‘Do you want to do a beer with Reverend And The Makers?’ I was like: ‘Of course yeah, I love ale’. I just jumped at the chance because they are a great brewery.” You can watch a video of the beer launch featuring members of Reverend And The Makers and South American band The Otherness below.
