Richard Marx spends four hours grappling with ‘crazed attacker’ on flight

Marx and wife Daisy Fuentes share photos of their ordeal

Richard Marx has shared photos of his ordeal battling a crazed passenger on a recent flight, spending four hours restraining the man from ‘attacking’ flight attendants.

The multi-million selling, GRAMMY-winning singer, famed for the likes of ‘Endless Summer Nights’ and ‘Right Here Waiting’, was travelling on a flight from Hanoi, Vietnam to Seoul, South Korea yesterday with his wife and TV presenter Daisy Fuentes when a man sat one row away from him started attacking flight attendants and fellow passengers.

The couple took to social media to share photos and details of their experience, saying that staff on the plane were ‘ill equipped for the situation’.

“On our flight from Hanoi to Seoul a guy sitting in the next row from us got crazy & started attacking the flight attendants & passengers,” wrote Fuentes on Facebook. “When he started pushing the female staff and pulling them by the hair Richard was the first to help subdue him. This went on for FOUR hrs. I feel horrible for the abuse the staff had to endure but no one was prepared for this. They never fully got control of him. They didn’t know how to use the taser and they didn’t know how to secure the rope around him (he got loose from their rope restraints 3 times). I’ll be posting some of the video after our next flight.”
