Pair perform their two hits and 'Stan' before next week's joint tour
The pair teamed up for their collaborations ‘Love The Way You Lie’ and ‘The Monster’, before duetting on ‘Stan’, with Rihanna taking Dido’s vocals.
Eminem and Rihanna launch their joint ‘Monster’ tour this Thursday (August 7), which starts at Pasadena Rose Bowl. According to Eminem’s website, only three of the six dates in Pasadena, New York and Detroit are sold out. Fan-shot footage of ‘Stan’ can be seen below.
Eminem’s first headline show at Lollapalooza since 2011 began with a video claiming Eminem had been kidnapped by Stan. It featured interviews with Stan’s brother, Matthew Mitchell, and police detectives.
The show also featured a surprise appearance by Royce Da 5’9” as well as early favourites ‘The Real Slim Shady’, ‘Kill You’, ‘My Name Is’ and ‘Bizness’.
It came amid controversy at the festival at Chicago’s Grant Park after Blood Orange’s Devonte Hynes and his girlfriend – Friends singer Samantha Urbani – claimed they were assaulted by security guards following Blood Orange’s show. The festival continues with headline performances by Kings Of Leon and Outkast.
Eminem’s only British shows this year were two concerts at Wembley Stadium on July 11-12, where he was joined both nights by Dr Dre.
