Rihanna celebrates World Cup win with German footballers after attending final in Brazil

Singer posts selfies with players including goal scorer Mario Götze

Rihanna joined the victorious Germany squad in celebrating their World Cup win last night (July 13).

The pop singer attended the game between Germany and Argentina at the Maracanã in Rio de Janeiro and backed the Germans to win before the match began via Twitter. The team then went on to win the match 1-0, marking their first success in a major tournament since 1996.

After the game Rihanna attended the German team’s official winners party and posted a number of pictures of herself with the team’s players, including one with Mario Götze, who scored the winning goal in extra time of the final. She accompanied the picture of herself with the 22-year-old Bayern Munich player with the caption: “The shooter aka My hitta.”

As well as Götze, Rihanna also posed for pictures with Miroslav Klose, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Arsenal player Lukas Podolski. Rihanna’s final post from the winning celebrations read: “I touched the cup, held the cup, kissed the cup, took a selfie wit the cup!!! I meeeaan…… what is YO bucket list looking like bruh?”
