London drum'n'bass act are currently Number One on the UK albums chart with debut LP 'Home'
Rudimental have unveiled their dream list of collaborators.
The Hackney drum’n’bass crew have just stormed straight to the top of the albums chart with debut LP ‘Home’ – which has already yielded the Number One hits ‘Feel The Love’ and ‘Waiting All Night’. The album, which came out on April 29, also features collaborations with Angel Haze, Alex Clare and Emeli Sande.
However, Rudimental are already thinking ahead and told the Daily Star that they have “started writing the next album”. Discussing possible collaborators, the band said: “I really like Rihanna – I think her songs are brilliant and we’re all fans of Lauryn Hill. I think that’d be the ultimate American collaboration. ‘The Score’ and The Fugees were a big part of our growing up.”
Earlier this week, Lauryn Hill was sentenced to three months in prison for failing to pay around $1m in taxes over the past decade. Fortunately, Rudimental also have their eye on another A-list US collaborator.
“We’d love to do a track with Pharrell, although he brushed right passed me at a show and I didn’t even recognise him,” bandmember Amir Amor said.
Rudimental are set to play various festivals this summer, including Glastonbury, Latitude and T In The Park. To check the availability of Rudimental tickets and get all the latest listings, go to NME.COM/TICKETS now, or call 0871 230 1094.
