Meanwhile, the singer donated $1.75 million to a local hospital
A man accused of stalking Rihanna was arrested in Barbados over the weekend.
The Sun reports that the “obsessed male fan” approached the pop star by her pool at her holiday villa in Cove Springs, but was quickly accosted by her security guards.
He was then arrested and questioned by police but was later released without charge.
The Sun reports that a witness said: “The guy got to within about 10 to 12ft of where Rihanna was sitting before he was apprehended by security. He looked fairly harmless but it was a little too close for comfort.”
The man apparently travelled to Barbados to get close to the singer.
This weekend, Rihanna donated $1.75 million (£1.08 million) to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Bridgetown, Barbados, in tribute to her late grandmother, Clara ‘Dolly’ Braithwaite.
The money has been used to buy equipment for the radiotherapy department. Rihanna said: “I believe that this will have a huge impact on the people of Barbados. This was all done in an effort to save lives or at least extend it and I thank you all for being a part of it.”
