It's called 'Sledgehammer' and it's rumoured to have been written by Sia
Rihanna‘s new single from the soundtrack to Star Trek Beyond, ‘Sledgehammer’, is now online. Scroll down to listen.
The singer teased the single, which is rumoured to have been written by Sia, yesterday evening (June 26). News of her contribution to the Star Trek Beyond soundtrack first broke on Friday (June 24) when Twitter account @PopCrave spotted a promo for the track on iTunes and shared a screen-grab with followers.
The film itself hits cinema screens on July 22. Idris Elba plays the main villain in the movie, joining franchise regulars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto and Simon Pegg, who has co-written its script. The late Anton Yelchin also appears in one of his final film roles.
Meanwhile, Rihanna is currently on the UK leg of her ‘Anti World Tour’ tonight, with stadium dates in London and Coventry completed, and stadium dates in Glasgow and Manchester remaining.
During her show in Dublin earlier this week, Rihanna was moved to tears as she performed on stage. She told the crowd later in their performance: “I only have ever in my life heard an audience of people scream so loud that they sound like one voice and that only happens in Ireland, in Dublin. Thank you so much.”
