Tabloid reports suggest that the singer had cancelled her summer stay in the UK due to exhaustion
The singer is due to headline the final night of the event, which runs from July 6–8 in London’s Hyde Park. Drake and Deadmau5 are the event’s other headliners.
Deadmau5 will headline the opening night (July 6), with Drake topping the bill on the festival’s second day (July 7) and the ‘Talk That Talk’ singer set to close the festival on the following night (July 8).
Reports this morning (June 7) suggested that Rihanna had shelved all work commitments in the UK due to ill health, but this has now been denied. A spokesperson for Wireless said: “She (Rihanna) is still scheduled to perform at Barclaycard Wireless Festival.”
The singer is also due to play this summer’s Radio 1 Big Weekend in Hackney, who have yet to issue a comment of any kind on the situation.
