Rihanna confirms plans for ‘Talk That Talk’ world tour in 2013

Singer promises her fans 'bigger and better' shows on next gig run

Rihanna has confirmed plans to embark on a new world tour in 2013.

The singer, who only recently wrapped up her ‘Loud’ jaunt and has dates pencilled in for four European festivals including BBC Radio 1’s Hackney Weekend and Wireless in the summer, said she is already looking ahead to next year’s shows.

She told Capital FM:

We’re going to be going on tour next year. So this year we’re spending our time planning to make sure it’s bigger than anything we’ve done and something more impactful, maybe something different, so my fans can get excited about it.

Rihanna also recently revealed that she has already started work on a new album despite releasing her last studio LP ‘Talk That Talk’ in November.

She added: “I’m definitely thinking about the next record. I’m a multi-tasker. Right now we’re working on collecting and creating the sound first before we even start working on the lyrical direction or melodies.”

The singer also recently shrugged off criticism that she was a bad role model for young women, and insisted that she wouldn’t tone down her racy image or controversial videos because it would compromise her art.

She will headline BBC Radio 1’s Hackney Weekend on June 24 and Wireless festival at London’s Hyde Park on July 8. For more information go to BBC.co.uk and Wirelessfestival.co.uk.
