Survey asks if she is an 'appropriate' spokesperson
A cosmetics company in the US has reportedly enlisted a market research company to find out if Rihanna is still considered an ‘appropriate’ spokesperson for beauty brands after the incident in which she was allegedly assaulted by boyfriend Chris Brown.
Revlon apparently hired polling firm Harris Interactive to carry out the survey, which shows rival firm’s Covergirl mascara commercial starring Rihanna, and asking if people “know who she is, if they’ve heard about her in the news lately, if they have an opinion about the person and if they feel she is ‘an appropriate spokesperson’ for the product,” reports TMZ. Rihanna is not referred to by name in the poll.
The survey is a “proprietary study by Revlon” in which the company was researching the effect recent events have had on public opinion about her.
Rihanna was allegedly attacked by Brown in the early hours of February 8. The pair have since reconciled, and have even recorded a duet together.
